The role of the board of directors in systematic thinking and Fundraising during Ramadan
The holy month of Ramadan brings with itself a sense of philanthropy. This year the fundraising committee at IHS focused on two fundraising programs during the holy month. The first program which was held on the door step of the IHS comprehensive care center, was a public awareness campaign composed of face to face education of by passers about hemophilia and bleeding disorders, women with bleeding disorders, and the financial needs of IHS. This program which was executed with the help of some 15 volunteers, managed to secure more than 10,000 dollars worth of charitable donations.
The second program was held as part of the WFH Global Feast campaign, in which some of the cities prominent benefactors participated. the feast, the location and the refreshments were all donated by IHS supporters. The plan managed to gather more than 30,000 dollars worth of donations and the plans to purchase a power generator for the treatment center were met.
Overall this turned out to be a colorful Ramadan for the IHS in which many benefactors and companies as well as members of the general public played a role in.
