The second regional seminar backed by the World Federation of Hemophilia, will be held in Isfahan, Iran on 19th and 20th of April 2009. Prominent Specialists active in the field of hemophilia are scheduled to appear at this two-day event from Iran, United States, Canada, Great Britain, Ireland, France and Germany. The seminar will be attended by representatives of hemophilia patient organizations from the Middle Eastern, African and Mid Asian nations accompanied by leading physicians from their respective countries.
The lectures at this seminar will focus on issues such as: 1) Treatment protocols for hemophilia in developing countries 2) Dilemmas facing carriers of hemophilia and preventing the birth of hemophiliacs 3) Women’s bleeding disorders 4) Treating patients with inhibitors, among others.
The Seminar promises to be a fruitful event for all physicians, nurses, laboratory personnel, and other medical staff, active in the field of hemophilia care. Also healthcare managers such as the ministry of health’s special disorders office, Iranian Blood Transfusion Organization and patient support groups are sure to benefit from the chance to exchange experiences with their regional and international counterparts.
